A while since update
Guess I need to update this since if I don't it'll be updated for me!
Had a great time today - call on Sunday so had today off. Went downtown with Meredith and we went to the Seattle aquarium, which was nice. Mostly focused on Seattle area marine life, but also some more exotic fishies, like a couple of cuttlefish and a tropical reef exhibit. Key feature was a big underwater dome, which was cool, but packed with kiddos - all of whom felt compelled to bang and stomp on the windows of the dome - not sure the fish were really loving it!
Otherwise walked around downtown a lot - pretty rainy day, so my feets were definitely wet at the end of the day, and I was a bit chilled, since I foolishly left my wind-jacket at home and went only with goretex. Still a great time - had some good Pho at a little Vietnamese place, dragged Meredith through 3 stores looking for man-perfume, and otherwise just wandered about. Good times.
Oh, almost went to the original Starbucks to get a little barista bear or perhaps a nice mug for Aaron, but since it was totally packed (on a Saturday - who'd have guessed?) - we saved that for a future weekend.
Sea otter being cute - sorry about the rain blurring this photo to incomprehensibility.
A fenestrated shark egg - I believe the little sharks in there have umbilical cords connecting them to the boiled-egg looking things which I suppose to be the yolk sacs.
Lord C'thulhu apparently lives in the Seattle Aquarium.
The fish dome. The incessant drumming of little hands and feet on the windows is not audible in this photograph.
Another cute marine mammal being fed - believe it is a sea otter.
Cool pierogie(?) place next to the original Starbucks.

I sure hope you are using some of your free time to train. It'd be embarrassing if I can outrun you when you return because you spent all of your free time gallivanting around Seattle.
