Seattle 1, St. Louis 0

Today I left my relatively affordable housing, walked for 10 minutes along relatively safe streets, and passed 4 ethiopian restaurants, 1 teryaki place, 2 pizza places, 2 mediterranean places, other random restaurants, and got an inexpensive, yet awesome Vietnamese sandwich (thanks for the recommendation, Greg the Canadian Post-Doc, wherever you are). Not doable in St. Louis - yes, Grand has some good restaurants, but I'm sure as hell not signing up to live there.

Also so numerous people on bikes, a smart car, and people from other cultures who were mingling as opposed to retreating to ethnic enclaves - more points for Seattle, without a doubt.
